The hike shows the historical farmhouses in Rofen. Follow the Rofen gorge over the suspension bridge, and through beautiful mountain pastures with a unique flora, the road leads back to Vent.
First, the chairlift takes you to the Kleinmutzkopf. The promising hike leads past two idyllic lakes and up to the Großer Mutzkopf and back to Nauders.
The hike from the Nassereinalm to Gepatschhaus runs largely flat. On the way there are beautiful pine trees which are also not far from the big Kaunertal reservoir.
With a total height of 380 meters, the waterfalls of Krimml are the highest falls in Europe. This natural wonder, devided into three steps is situated near Krimml in Austria in the national park “Hohe Tauern”. Every year, the falls are viewed by around 400,000 visitors.
In Obergurgl upwards with the Hohe Mut Bahn, then the hike leads over highly peaty soil and along the Rotmoos glacier. At the stamping point is a great place to take pictures. Then through the Rotmoos valley floor, you can take a break at the Schönwieshütte. Back to Obergurgl you walk through a forest with 300-year-old pine-tries, the trail ends at Vitalhotel Mühle in Untergurgl.
The trail to the Steinseehütte leads through the wildly romantic valley of the Starkenbach. After 2 to 2.5 hours of climbing over 800 meters you reach the hut, which is framed by the mighty mountains of the Parzinn group (at a height of 2061m).
This hiking trail through the hamlets of Wenns is a pleasure especially in the snow-free winter months. The starting point is at 1000m above sea level and thus almost always above the cold fog in the warm air layers in an inversion weather situation.
