The Hofkirche (Court Church) in Innsbruck with the cenotaph of Emperor Maximilian I is the most important historical monument in Tyrol. The cenotaph is ringed by 28 larger than life (200-250 cm) bronze statues representing the Emperor’s ancestors, relatives and heroes. The Hofkirche also houses the tomb of Andreas Hofer (Tyrol’s national hero) and the Silver Chapel.
